Local Favourite
The Iconic Enderby Cliffs. This is a favourite for locals and hikers from neighboring towns. If you want to show a friend some impressive 180-degree views – you take them to the top of the cliffs. The trail starts 5 kms northeast of Enderby but its not really a trail that can be missed because the cliffs are so prominent and huge, you see them from the highway. 12.6 kms round trip and you gain 657 m of elevation while switch backing your way up the mountain. This is a popular, well marked trail, that is well maintained, and chances are you will pass other hikers along the way. Best times to hike Enderby cliffs is between April – October. If you happen to hike it mid-summer, stop in at Sutherlands for ice cream afterwards or take a dip in the Shuswap River to cool off.
