Ice cream, get your ice cream!

There are many many places in Salmon Arm to find a yummy summer treat but here is a list of our favourites.

  1. DeMille’s Farm Market and Ice cream Parlor
This is a fun spot to find local produce fruit, baked good and creamy cold ice cream! After you get your cone, look around the petting zoo. There are goats, pigs, chickens running everywhere, ducks and much much more. Later in the summer try your hand at the corn maze but be careful, don’t get lost!

  2. Pedro’s Farm Market
Pedro’s has all your local fruit and produce you will need, along with a very expansive garden and landscaping center. Take your pic over 12 difference ice cream flavors and wonder through the garden center before you start your next project.

  3. Tappen CO-OP
Tappen Co-op is the home to the largest ice cream cones in the Shuswap! A quick stop off the highway for refreshments, gas, anything you need last minute before you head to your local campsite. When ordering your ice cream, remember their scoops are double the size of a regular scoop, but it is well worth it!

  4. D-Dutchmen Dairy
Over 62 flavors of creamy, smooth and so so tasty homemade ice cream! A small local dairy farm turned petting zoo makes their own ice cream and dairy products from their family dairy cows. D-Dutchmen Dairy also carries A2/A2 milk that is made with a different protein that regular milk; people who cannot easily tolerate dairy products find this to be a better option.

  5. Ice cream by the Pier (Salmon Arm Wharf)
Salmon Arm is home to the longest wooden pier in North America. The historical Salmon Arm wharf is located at Marine Peace Park, boarding the picturesque Shuswap Lake. This is a great spot to view local birds, ducks and many other species of wildlife. At the end of the pier is a small ice cream shack serving up some of the best cones in town. Accompanies with the beautiful view, who could ask for more?

Enjoy!
