Stand up paddleboards have become the newest, trendiest and easiest way to get on the water.

You just about see them everywhere nowadays, people of the Shuswap are loving stand up paddleboards and they come in a wide variety of widths, lengths, sizes, prices and even what they are made out of. Some people prefer a solid paddle board made of wood, fiberglass or plastic, while others prefer the inflatable ones. Whatever make and model you choose, all boards will get you out on the lake just the same! The solid ones often feel sturdier, but they are harder to store and transport while the inflatable ones (depending on brand and size) can feel less stable but they are easier to transport and store while not in use. Some paddle boards can have special attachments for a back rest or fishing rod, some have bungie cords to tie shoes or water bottle down to the board. They come in all sorts of colors and patterns – there is definitely something for everyone when it comes to choosing a paddle board.
