How stressed can one be when surrounded by friends, family, warm weather, beautiful scenery and the cool refreshing river to hop into?!

Gather a big group, prep lots of snacks, an abundance of water to stay hydrated (the interior can get very hot) and something to float on and you are well on your way. The best way to go about floating the Enderby River is having two drivers. One vehicle parked where everyone gets onto the river and the second vehicle parked where you get off the river. There are many different options for length of float. The most popular route is to get in at the Belvidere Park and float approximately 3 kilometers to Tuey Park. There are very few (pretty much none) obstacles with lots of shallow places where you could walk along the sandy river bottom.
Once you are done the river float you can hang out in the clear, shallow beaches of the Shuswap River. Tuey Park beach is one of the best places to make sandcastles in between Armstrong and Salmon Arm.

Things to know ahead of time –
1. How long will you be on the water.
2. Where to enter / exit the river
3. Your floatie is airtight, without any holes or leaks.
4. How hot is it going to be while on the water.
5. Where you are getting ice cream afterwards!

Floating a river can always become unpredictable. We recommend you make sure you choose a route suitable to your abilities and stamina on the water, along with temperature. Always wear a lifejacket or PDF.
Let us know how your float went!
