When life gets tough, hangout with your dog.

Here is a list of our favorite dog friendly trails around Salmon Arm! Woof

Little Mountain Park
Little Mountain Park is located in upper Salmon Arm and has up to 8Km of various loops including a “summit Trail” which gives iconic views of Shuswap Lake. This is a popular area for hiking with your dog as the trails are wide, spread out and different options for routes. There are garbage cans and poop bags conveniently located near different entrances to the park.

Coyote Park
A network of trails, close to Raven subdivision on the North East side of Salmon Arm. Coyote Park is open to hikers, mountain bikers and snowshoeing in the winter. Up to 3 km of trails you can choose easier (green trails or more difficult (blue trials), but all trails are moderately easy. A small gravel parking lot with garbage cans and poop bags conveniently located at the entrance to the trail system.

Park Hill Trails
Heading towards Canoe Beach in Salmon Arm, Park Hill Trail System is close by. This trail network is loved and appreciated by the local residences of Canoe. With almost 10km of trails, there is plenty of options to choose from! Enjoy the leg burn of some steeper incline, boardwalks and stairs, Park Hill is a great place to get your furry friend some exercise.

South Canoe Trail System
A larger Network of Trails (47km) provides almost endless places to explore. This trail system is widely used for mountain biking but also has some multi-use trails as well as hiking only trails. Depending what trail, you choose, stay alert and watch for bikers coming around corners or down hills or riders on horseback. South Canoe has green, blue and black rated trails.

Larch Hills Snowshoe trails
In the snow free months, the snowshoe trails at Larch Hills Nordic Center make great hiking trails for you and your pups! 17 km of trails weaving in and around the mountain, around bogs, through meadows and even a town lookout trail. This trail system is more rural than the others and it is best to always carry bear spray.

Please remember to always pick up after your dogs to help keep these amazing trails well maintained and enjoyable to use for others!
