Full T1 General

A T1 General Form also known as Income Tax Return Benefit is a document Canadians use to file their personal income taxes. It is a summary of all other forms you complete when doing your taxes. It shows net income, total income, tax payable, deductions, credits and more. An important part of you T1 General is the Statement of Business Activities. This part of the form is important if you are self employed. It shows business expenses like advertising, rent, vehicle expenses ect. It also shows if your business took a loss in the previous year or had retained earnings. We find the easiest way to gather these documents is to ask your tax preparer directly.
