When a lender is reviewing down payment, they must see the money has been sitting in your bank account for at least 90 days minimum (unless its a gift, but we have an article on that too).The easiest way to provide proof is to give your broker 3 months / 90 days PDF, unedited bank statements from the account your money is coming from or has flowed through in the last 90 days. Because of anti-money laundering laws, it is important these documents show ownership of the account and nothing has been altered.
