Tekamar Mortgages was built on trust and the intentions to create long-lasting relationships with everyone we work with. Therefore, the privacy of our customers, clients, and visitors is an essential concern of ours. As such, we have gone to great measures to protect your – our customers and clients – data and information. This policy applies to both documents sent to us directly, or submitted through digital forms. We want to protect your information from misuse, unauthorized disclosure or access. Unfortunately, like in any data transmission, there is no way to be one-hundred percent certain that it is secure. As a result, although Tekamar Mortgages has taken great measures to protect your data and information, Tekamar Mortgages Ltd. cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. That being said, anything you transmit to us is being done at your own risk. However, once Tekamar is in possession of your documents and information we follow above industry standard efforts, such as firewalls, data encryption and company policies, to safeguard the confidentiality of your information.

We have modeled Tekamar Mortgages Ltd.’s Privacy Policy after the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information. It is compliant with federal and provincial privacy laws including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. A summary of the ten principles of fair information practices adopted in the Tekamar Mortgages Ltd. Privacy Policy is included at the end of this Privacy Statement.

Anytime you do business with Tekamar Mortgages, or anyone acting as an agent on Tekamar Mortgage’s behalf, you are protected by the rights and safeguards in Tekamar Mortgage’s Privacy Policy.

Personal Information

If you decide to use the services provided by Tekamar Mortgages Ltd, you will be required to supply certain information necessary to deliver the selected services. Tekamar Mortgages collects your personal information for the purpose of providing you with the products and services which you have requested of us. Data that ay be collected includes, but is not limited to the device the user accesses our website, which web browser the user may use, as well as the locations from which people are accessing www.tekamar.ca. This data collection helps us understand our Customers’ needs better, which allows us to improve areas of our services that our Customers find valuable. Data collected may be used by Tekamar Mortgages to analyze markets and to develop or enhance service offerings.

Tekamar Mortgages will seek your prior consent to the collection, use and disclosure of the information as required by applicable privacy legislation. Subject to legal and contractual requirements, you have the right to refuse to our request for, use of or disclosure of information about you. You also maintain the right to withdraw your consent to any further use, collection or disclosure of information about you at any time by giving us reasonable notice. Tekamar Mortgages’ website, www.tekamar.ca uses something called cookies. This is an aspect of our website which anonymously tracks user’s patterns and how and when they visit our website. Cookies have become an industry standard, both in the mortgage industry and in all other businesses relating to the use of the internet. Accuracy and Transmission

Tekamar Mortgages will do its best to ensure that the information relating to you is up-to-date, complete and accurate. However, please inform Tekamar Mortgages if plan to or do change any of your information. This is especially important in regards to contact information, such as phone, mailing address and email address. In the event which you have any questions regarding the accuracy of factual information we have collected about you, you will be given total access to that information in order to verify and update it. If we have disclosed inaccurate information about you to a third party, we will be pleased to contact the third party in order to correct the information.

In the event of errors or omissions in any information, Tekamar Mortgage’s sole responsibility shall be to use its best efforts to correct, by the issue of a corrected release, any errors or omissions which it or any of its employees, servants or agents may have made, negligently or otherwise, in transmitting copy accurately and which are brought to its attention. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, in no event shall Tekamar Mortgages, or any of its servants, employees or agents be liable in contract, tort or otherwise to any person (including, without limitation, the subscriber) for any loss, damage, injury, liability, cost or expense of any nature (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, special and punitive damages) which such person may suffer or incur as a result of any such errors or omissions or any delays in transmission or non-transmission.

Security

Tekamar Mortgages takes your information privacy, and the security of said information very seriously. We are committed to protecting this information, and as such have implemented industry standard. At Tekamar Mortgages we use measures such as encrypted digital file storage, secure off-site file storage, proper document transmission encryption and building security. In addition to this, access to information is limited to only staff which are authorized to access it. Our employees have been trained to, and are under legal obligation to respect your privacy at all times and those employees with access to your personal information shall use your personal information strictly in accordance with the Tekamar Mortgages privacy policy and any legal governing guidelines and laws.

Use

Tekamar Mortgages provides the www.tekamar.ca Internet site “as is” to the user without any warranty or condition, express, implied or statutory. Tekamar also disclaims any implied warranties of title, merchantability, non-infringement of intellectual property or fitness for any particular purpose. Unless expressly provided by written agreement between Tekamar Mortgages and the user, Tekamar Mortgages will have no contract, tort or any other liability to any user and/or third party which uses this internet site, or relies on any information or services provided by this internet site.

Tekamar Mortgages does not endorse the services, information or products of advertisers, sponsors or affinity partners. We at Tekamar Mortgages believe the information to be correct to the best of our knowledge, however it should not be relied upon without prior verification. The internet site www.tekamar.ca also contains links to outside sites, through links, banners and other portals to third part sites which may use their own cookies, collect data and/or solicit information. Tekamar Mortgages does not control these websites, and as such, we do not endorse their services, products or information.

Your acceptance of these terms
