D Dutch Dairy

When you arrive in Sicamous stop at D Dutch Dairy farm and Ice Cream Parlor. This is a family run farm that provides Sicamous and surrounding towns with local milk products and even their own ice cream! With 62 flavours of old fashion ice cream, waffle cones and more, your kids' will be calling you the best parents ever! After you get your ice cream, wander through the farm around multiple barns and animal exhibits. Be sure to give the baby calves a scratch behind the ears. The farm's newest attraction is "Tractor Town". A fully enclosed, sand filled, tractor heaven. Kids are allowed to climb all over the tractors and play in the sand, while the parents sit in the shade and eat their cone in peace. Win – win.

The Enchanted Forest

Open from May – October the Enchanted Forest is a pivotal pitstop along the Trans Canada Hwy. Look all around while exploring this woodland nature walk. You will find over 350 fairy tale and fantasy art figurines. Along with BC's tallest tree house, a pirate ship, and a castle, complete with a fire breathing dragon! The park takes on average an hour and a half to two hours to complete. Extend your time with doing the high ropes course for extra cost. Even your furry friends can enjoy the park if they are on a leash. Plenty of washrooms, wheelchair and stroller access make this a fun filled stop for everyone.

Crazy Creek Hot Pools and Suspension Bridge

The fun doesn't stop here. 30 Minutes west of Revelstoke, not far off the Trans Canada is Crazy Creek Hot Pools. On the opposite side of the highway is the suspension bridge. All under the same ownership creates a fun stop for families and travellers. Book a cabin all year around or enjoy their camping accommodations in the warmer months. 3 geothermal pools with mountain views create a relaxing atmosphere. Walking over the suspension bridge with the rushing waterfall beside you and raging river below you, might have your heart pumping. Use this as your back country base camp or drop in for a few hours - all are welcome.

Kay Falls

Between Revelstoke and the Enchanted Forest lies a hidden gem, right off the highway. If you didn't know it was there, you will drive right past. Right after the Kay Falls bridge, on the right hand side is a small pull-out. From here, walk a quick .2km into the trees and you will be standing below a towering waterfall. Careful! The rocks and logs are slippery as this is a totally unmaintained and developed stop.
