Hermit Meadows Trail – Glacier National Park
Make your way up the steep trail to this alpine campsite. Once you break the tree line a lot of the hiking is on well-engineered stones. Be prepared to gain 830m of elevation over 3km. The hike is not long, but it gets the heart pumping quickly. To get to the meadow at the top you will have to complete a short scramble with rope assist. It not hard but it's important to be mindful. Take lots of rest and refill your water bottles at the stream crossing. The views of Rogers Pass are worth the cardio.
