Floating the Shuswap River
Sweet summertime on the river. Most people know this is as the Enderby River Float but officially it is the Shuswap River that flows through Enderby. Floating the river is a great activity in those really hot months of summer. Take your family or plan to do it with a group of friends. The great thing about this float is that it can be enjoyable for all ages. Choose how long you would like the float to be by picking where you get into the river. The most popular float is roughly an hour long, depending what time of the year it is and how high the water is. Jump on your floaties at the Cliff Ave Bridge and float all the way to Waterwheel Park. With many options to get off your floatie and a sandy bottom, this makes for a really fun adventure!
You will need:
- A Floatie
- Possible smaller floatie to carry your things
- A rope to tie floaties together (if you wish)
- Sun Screen
- Life jackets
- Bathing suit
- Hat
- Water
