I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike

No, it isn't for fat people who want to mountain bike. That's just mountain biking for the riders who have a few too many brews afterwards at the trailhead (joking of course).
Fat biking is mountain biking with big, fat, knobby tires, specially designed to grip snow, mud, and sand. These tires sit at lower pressure around 8 PSI, making it a soft smooth ride through the snow. If riding 12 months of the year is on your to-do list, pick a trail from the list below. Enjoy!

Kamloops
- Isobel lake
- Kenna Cartwright Park & Pineview Valley Trails
- Sun Peaks

Salmon Arm
- South Canoe Trail System

Vernon
- Silver Star

Revelstoke
- Soren Sorensen
- Meadows in the Sky
- Inspiration Woods Trailhead

Fat biking is a relatively new sport, so if you're unsure about fulling committing and buying another bike, consider renting one from the list below.

  • District Bike (Kamloops)
  • Skookum (Revelstoke)
  • Tantrum Ride Co. (Revelstoke)
