floaties, sunscreen, hats, snacks and more!

Whether you are making the Enderby River Float an all day event or just a couple hours, it's important to be well prepared!
After many years and countless times down the river, we have made a list of essential items you wont want to leave at home! Learn from our many many mistakes 😀

Flotation Device - This is pretty darn essential to a river float. Dollar store floaties, elaborate party barges, paddle boards, belly boats, you name it, we've seen it floating down the river. Pick a flotation device that makes the most sense for you. Make sure to bring a life jacket for anyone not confident in the water or for little ones.

Sunscreen - Lather up and protect your skin from those hot summer rays. Floating on top of the water can magnify the suns intensity. It's all fun and games till someone looks like a lobster. 🥵🥵

Hat - Help protect yourself and enjoy a bit of shade. A hat is a great way to avoid too much sun. Also great to dip your hat in the river to cool off your head (if you don't plan on getting off your raft).

Water and snacks If you are choosing one of the longer floats, you might want to bring water and snacks in a floatable cooler or waterproof bag. Or have the snacks and bevy waiting in a cooler in the second vehicle and enjoy a picnic on the beach!

Make sure to keep your vehicle keys on you. No assumption of alcohol is permitted and obey all signage on the water. Once and awhile river boats will come up and down the river. These boats are usually pretty cautions and well aware of how popular the river is to floaters but it is always a good idea to stay alert.

Happy Floating!
