Cross country ski at Larch Hills
Only 20Km from Salmon Arm lies over 170Km of ski trails with 57Km of those trails being groomed regularly. Can’t get out till after work? No problem! Latch Hills has lit loops so you can comfortably ski at night. I always carry a headlamp as backup. Choose from competitive ski teams to join, purchase an annual membership to ski at your own leisure or utilize the convenient drop box for day rates.

Snowshoe at Larch Hills
Wind around dense forest, through bogs and up and over hills. The snowshoe trails at Larch Hills are a winter adventurists’ dream. Yearly memberships are available or drop your day fee in one of the convenient drop boxes.

Ice Fishing
Many small lakes surrounding Salmon Arm make it a great hub for ice fishing. Discover great fishing on Adam’s Lake, Skimikin Lake, White Lake and Gardom Lake. Make sure to have your BC fishing license handy.

Snowmobiling
The Salmon Arm Trail Blazers are a local snowmobile club that organize events, groom trails, provide backcountry shelters and support the snowmobiling community in Salmon Arm. Their designated snowmobiling area is located only 5minutes from Salmon Arm on Fly Hills.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides
A family run wholesome winter wonderland farm. The Walter’s have been offering sleigh-rides to the community for over 28 years. Be pulled through snowy fields and blanketed forest by two friendly Percheron horses. After the sleigh-ride warm up by the fire in the lob cabin while enjoying hot chocolate and homemade cinnamon buns.
