The Canada Child Benefit is a tax-free monthly payment made to eligible families to help with the cost of raising children 18 years or younger. We can use Canadian Child Benefit (CCB) towards income on a mortgage application. To prove this income, we need a Canadian Child Benefit Statement. Either by mail or MyCRA portal, a new statement is provided in July of every year. It is always best to provide the full unedited document to your mortgage broker.
